Users can now access these controls in the app's 'Settings' menu under 'Refine your recommendations,' enabling them to restrict AI imagery in categories prone to AI content, such as beauty, art, and fashion. The company has also committed to making its existing GenAI content labels more prominent. This initiative is part of Pinterest's effort to maintain user trust and protect its reputation amidst growing concerns about the quality of AI-generated material. The new features are currently available on the website and Android, with plans for iOS rollout in the coming weeks. Pinterest's Chief Technology Officer emphasized the importance of community feedback in shaping these tools.
