From October 2025, the US will host a remarkable celestial event featuring four consecutive supermoons. The series begins with the Harvest Moon on October 6, followed by the Beaver Moon on November 5, the Cold Moon on December 4, and concluding with the Wolf Moon on January 3, 2026. A supermoon occurs when the full moon aligns with its closest orbital point to Earth, known as perigee, resulting in a moon that can appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. While supermoons are not rare, having four in succession is uncommon, happening approximately every 14 lunar months. Each moon has its own significance, with names reflecting historical agricultural practices and seasonal changes. Observers are advised to find a clear eastern view for optimal viewing.
